Calumet providing a year supply of candle wax blend for Restored Creations candles

INDIANAPOLIS (July 12, 2021) – Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P., a leading manufacturer and formulator of high-quality lubricating oils, solvents, waxes, high-purity white oils, asphalts and fuels headquartered in Indianapolis, is proud to announce a new partnership with Restored Creations, the social enterprise of Wheeler Mission’s Center for Women and Children.

Calumet is providing Restored Creations with a year supply of its TitanWax™ candle blend for the women to create the business’s soy-blend candles scented with premium fragrance oils. Restored Creations offers candles, wax melts and mini melts as well as candles with matchbox holders.

“Each of our candle products is hand poured by women who have survived homelessness, addictions, domestic violence and brokenness,” said Restored Creations Team Lead Breana Rothrock. “We provide a therapeutic outlet for these women while empowering them to learn and develop skills needed to obtain and maintain gainful employment after leaving Wheeler Mission.”

Calumet’s lubricating oils, solvents, waxes, high-purity white oils, asphalts and fuels are used to develop some of the world’s best and most-trusted brands. In 2020, Calumet acquired the Paralogics business to expand its offerings in the specialty wax and candle market.

“We wanted to have a new product in the marketplace and be able to supply to candle makers, so we created the TitanWax brand to focus just on candles, whether you’re looking for paraffins, natural wax or a custom blend,” said Calumet Director of Corporate Marketing Lindsey LaBerge. “And as we were developing the brand and various candle blends, we had the idea to donate to a local Indiana charity.”

Calumet is supplying 600 pounds of its TitanWax candle blend to Restored Creations. Since the group makes both four- and eight-ounce candles, the wax will make anywhere from 1,500 to 3,000 candles. Calumet also plans to showcase the Restored Creations candles at the National Candle Association (NCA) Annual Conference and Expo October 5-7 in Birmingham, Ala.

“It’s important for us to give back and support Restored Creations as a local Indiana business in a way that brings attention and awareness to this amazing group of women who are working hard every day to get back on their feet and get their lives back,” LaBerge said. “When you hear their stories and see the candles they make, it makes an impact on you, and we want to help get the word out about their ministry so more people around the state and beyond are purchasing their candles. This is more than a donation. As their charity grows, we want to grow with them.”
